Felipe Puletini

Brazilian born and a Member of the International Dance Council - CID/ UNESCO, Felipe earns a Degree of Vocational Higher Education Fine Arts (Performing Arts Major), and is a certified teacher in ABT National Curriculum Training (Pre-Primary-Level 6), Nan Giordano Certificate Program in Giordano Jazz Technique, and have Knowledge in Olympic Preparation for dancers.

 

Currently the Head of Children’s Division for the School of BALLET RHODE ISLAND coordinating the school and being the Children’s Cast Director for the Yuri Yanowsky's annual Nutcracker and Cinderella, as well assisting the director, Kathleen Breen Combes, as Company Manager of BALLET RI. Throughout his professional career in Brazil and USA, he has performed in repertory classical ballet, musical theater, as well as participation as a dancer and actor in television shows and commercials. Some highlights are as soloist in many ballets like Cinderella, Swan Lake, Paquita, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote (Cuban version) and La Fille Mal Guardée (Cuban version), I Gotcha! (Bob Fosse and Fred Ebb), The Hunchback Of Notre Dame as Clopin, The Lion King as Pumba, The Little Mermaid as Scuttle and ensemble in 1st Bibi Ferreira Awards (The Brazilian Tony Awards).On his repertory includes contemporary works by Rodney Rivera, Sergei Vanaev, Alejandro Ulloa, Lauren Edson, Gabrielle Lamb, Catherine Fellows, Pascal Rekoert, Nan Giordano.

 

Guest Teaching Artist for CCSU (Central Connecticut State University - Dance Education), and coach/choreographer for many schools in New England, Connecticut, preparing dancers for important ballet competitions having his students in top 10 of the YAGP, Universal Ballet Competition, and CT Classic Scholarship Competition.

 

Collaboration as a choreographer with the New Britain Symphony Orchestra for De Falla: La Vida Breve conducted by Kalena Bovell during the concert "Dance for Joy" in 2019, in the Mystic River Chorale’s spring concert “Impressions & Reflections” in 2022, and in the Mystic Outdoor Festival Performing Arts Stage from 2021 to 2023. Collaborated with the University of South Carolina - Beaufort during the "Community Nutcracker" as a guest choreographer and artist performing the role of Sugar Plum Cavalier in 2019, as well with the New England Ballet Theatre of CT as a guest artist performing the role of Step Sister in Cinderella in 2023. In 2024 was invited by the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, and conductor Adrian Sylveen, to be featured in their “Immigrant Stories in Music” program, where he is commissioning a new choreography and score in collaboration with an award-winning Brazilian composer Paulinho Ocanha.

 

Was the founder and director of AMA Dance Theatre School & Foundation providing pre-professional training to aspiring artists, with a resident company. ADT students were accepted in various prestigious ballet schools and universities around the world for summer intensives and year-round programs. In collaboration with the public magnet schools he created the “En Avant” project providing opportunities for middle and high school students to continue their dance education with full scholarships. As a director of ADT Felipe produced and choreographed 3 full concerts: Divertissements in 2021, Nós Vós Eles (premiere of the professional company), and Sleeping Beauty in 2023.
